Davy

Burt Davy. I'm looking for any information on the Davy line traced to the New York area. At this point I have very little to go on. I do know that John Francis Davy, born 1860–70, married Mary Reynolds of New Jersey. Together they had a son born 1896 named Burton Greene Davy. [27 Feb 2000]

Betty A. Norton. Looking for information on Pella Experience Davy, who married John Quincy Adams (1807–1849). This is not the same John Quincy Adams who was the sixth President of the United States. John and Pella Davy Adams had a daughter named Lucy Whitmore Adams (1823–1908). Note: It is possible that Pella's birthname was Davis, rather than Davy, but this is doubtful. [08 Apr 1999]

Reg Davy. In my Davy records I have a George Hofnagel Davy, b. 25 Oct. 1807 in Ernestown township, Ontario Canada (across the water from Jefferson county, New York). In 1845 George married Sarah Pringle, b. ca. 1810. I also have a John Benjamin Davy, b. 1819 in the same area of Upper Canada. In 1844 John married Eunice A. Pringle, b. 1823.
