An Obituary

PORT HURON, MICH. — Joan C. Nutt, age 68, of Port Huron, died Monday, October 12, 1998 in Mercy Hospital.

Joan was born April 28, 1930 in Sarnia, Ontario Canada, the daughter of Gerald Nelson and Nellia Allis (Smith) DeRush.

On December 31, 1956, she married Clarence Leslie Nutt Jr. at Port Huron. He preceded her in death March 12, 1987.

Joan is survived by her children David, Sherry, Susan, Leslie, Dale, Kenny, Debbie, Jimmy, Orville, and Billy; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Other survivors include her sister Mary Poppen; her brother Danny DeRush; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her daughter Sandy.

Funeral service will take place on Friday, October 16, 1998 at 11 A.M. at the Arthur Smith Funeral Home, 1230 Seventh Street, Port Huron. Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery, on Gibbons Road in Grant township, St. Clair county, Michigan.

Visiting hours are Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M.
