An Obituary1 ADRIAN, MICH. — Betty Jane Rowley, 73, of Adrian and Hillsdale passed away Thursday 21 May 1998 at the Lenawee Medical Care Facility. She was born 6 February 1925 in Wilmington, Delaware to Joseph and Pearl (Collins) Yerks. She married Maurice E. Rowley on 17 November 1945. He survives. Betty was a past member and president of the women VFW auxiliary. She worked several years at Hillsdale College before returning to Adrian. In addition to her husband, Maurice, survivors include three sons: Ronald (Marsha) and grandson Andrew Rowley of Adrian, Maurice "Bud" and grandson Kyle Rowley of Oxford, Michigan, and Randy (Beth) and grandson Scott Rowley of Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Joseph, and a son Tommy. Private services to be held by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Braun-Everiss-Wagley Funeral Home. Memorial contributions in Betty’s name may be made to the Lenawee Medical Care Facility. Envelopes are available at the Braun-Everiss-Wagley Funeral Home. 1. Adrian (Mich.)
